El Cuerpo – Body Parts

Bible

This year we will be memorizing a lot of Scripture. Our community (local co-op) has chosen to use the ESV translation.  Each grade has a list of Bible verses they will memorize throughout the year. The next poem we are working on is Singing by Robert Louis Stevenson.  I made a short little video to help your child memorize it.  Have your child watch the video everyday until they know it by heart. Pollution

We are having fun studying pollution.  This week we used the picture cards I made to introduce the topic plus to play a few games.  The kids had fun matching, sorting, classifying and they even made up a game of their own. We also did an activity where I had them look for some examples [Read On]

Books of the Bible

Poetry – Foreign Lands

Sight Words

We have chosen the Dolch Sight Words List for our kids. If you are not familiar with sight words, they are the most common words in the English language and a lot of them can not be sounded out phonetically.  Since these words cover a high percentage of any written material, it is very beneficial [Read On]
