For the next couple of weeks, we will be working on memorizing The Star-Spangled Banner. My plan was to create a few resources like I usually do, but when I looked around, I found plenty of other websites offering free resources to use. So thankful for all the bloggers out there willing to share their resources and gifts! 🙂
Here’s the ones we will be using.  The first one is found at thecraftyclassroom.com (When you click on the link, make sure to scroll down the post to find this resource).  I love  the illustrated sentences!
They also have a mini-book with the illustrated sentences.
I am planning on printing it twice and cutting it into small cards. This way I can give it to the kids and ask them to put it in the correct order. The mini-book pages are just the right size for this. There are a few more resources on this page, so head on over to that site and check out what would work for your kids best.
I also found this coloring page/fill in the blank sheet. It can be found at lightbulbsandlaughter.blogspot.com
For those who can read music and play and instrument I found the music at bethsmusicnotes.blogspot.ca  This site also offers a free download with a few sheets for older students (quiz, comprehension questions and writing activity among others). When you go to this page, you will need to scroll down. The Star-Spangled Banner is the third post on that page.
Lastly, I did end up making a quick resource. This one is for students who can read. I just made sentence strips without illustrations. This will require the kids to recall the words without any visual aids. My kids are finally reading fluently, so I think this will be a great resource to use with them.
