Liquid Measurement Equivalents

We will be studying measurement equivalents in Math. I created a few resources for my children to help them learn and memorize these concepts. I wanted to share them with you, in case you are studying the same topic, or maybe it will inspire you to add it to your Math lessons in the near future. 🙂

I’ll try to explain briefly what is included in the file. The first thing is just a poster with all the equivalents in one sheet. I usually hang this on the wall in the school room, so we can have a visual reminder and also as a quick reference.

The next item is a cut and paste activity which could also be used as a file folder game. We used the file folder game all week and at the end of the week I had my children do the cut and paste activity as a way to evaluate them.

Another resource my children like playing with is the self-check flip book.  They read the front flap and then say the equivalent. After they have said their answer, then they flip the flap open and check to see if they have said it correctly. My children love to quiz each other and with this resource they have a way to check their answers.

I made a short video explaining a little bit more how to put this together, in case you are more of a visual learner like I am. Here it is:

Don’t forget to look in the blog for additional resources to assist you with Math concepts such as: Math Laws, Distributive Law, Commutative Law, Geometry, Area of a Circle, Area of a Triangle, and a few more. Just click on the Math tab at the top of the page, and you will see a list of these posts.

Before I leave you, I have to share this funny video with you. My kids loved it and it explains the capacity measurements and equivalents in a funny way. Check it out… what do you think?

I hope you guys can find this useful! I would love to know how your family is using these resources. 🙂

    Hello,

All of your resources are so FABULOUS!!! Thank you so much for all the hard work. I was wondering if you would mind if I used some of them to create YouTube videos for CC Connected??? I would be sure to post a link to your blog in the comment section. The videos will be unlisted and only able to be viewed by fellow CC Connected members.
